Socialist Students is a democratic organisation of students fighting for a socialist transformation of society to meet the needs of all, not the profits of a few. We are active in over 50 schools, colleges and universities across the UK, seeking to get young people organised in the fight for a future free of war, climate chaos, poverty, racism, sexism, and all the misery that capitalism means for young people’s lives today. Our members don’t just discuss socialist ideas but are at the forefront of building resistance to all attacks on our futures, through building campaigns and organising protests. We want to link our struggles as students and young people to the struggles of workers both on and off campus, in the common fight for a socialist alternative to capitalism.

Political discussion
We think that students need to understand the world, and the relevance of socialist ideas today, in order to transform it. All Socialist Students societies hold regular political discussions on key issues facing young people and the working class in Britain and internationally.
